Our academic camps can be taken just for fun, to get ahead or for review. We offer opportunities in many different areas and grade levels. Each class is sure to make learning different and exciting!
Academic Enrichment Camps are only offered in July and August 2025.

Leap into Learning

Multiplication Mania

$230Brush up on your math facts this summer! During this camp, we will explore the concept of multiplication through games, activities, and projects. Our goal is to build automaticity and speed of multiplication and division facts over the course of the week. Chill Out with Summer Treats
Rising 4th - 6th GradersJuly 14 - 181:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.$280During Chill Out with Summer Treats Camp, we’ll travel around Richmond on an STC bus to sample and taste our favorite summer treats. Each student will be invited to sample ice cream, Slurpees, and frozen yogurt delights. Campers will learn the characteristics of an effective food review and write and publish reviews of their favorite (or not-so-favorite) summer treats. Exploring Writing through Picture Books

Each day, we will embark on a new storybook adventure! Kids will explore beloved characters and themes through interactive lessons and creative activities. We will work on literacy skills like phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension while reinforcing key math concepts such as counting, shapes, and addition. Writing Skills for Upper Elementary

Intro to 4th Grade
Rising 4th GradersJuly 28 - August 19:00 a.m. - Noon$230During "Intro To Fourth Grade," campers will be introduced to fourth-grade concepts showcased in the coming school year. Academically, we will focus on reading, mathematics, and social-emotional skills. We will study the concepts of story elements, inferencing, summarizing, and predicting from nonfiction texts. During math, campers will dive into multiplication and division math facts, rounding, place value, word problems, adding and subtracting larger numbers, and multiplying using different strategies. Campers will also have opportunities to work together on their social skills as they complete hands-on activities for growth in communication and expression. We will start to think and act like first-grade boys and girls by participating in morning meeting discussions, working in small cooperative groups on reading, writing, and math skills, listening to award-winning stories, and sharing our learning at the end of the day. We’ll also have fun doing independent projects and getting a feel for the first-grade routine.
