The varsity golf team had a strong showing at the VISAA state tournament, finishing third only two strokes behind champion Woodberry Forest.
The Tigers won a tiebreaker at 294 over Paul VI to take the crown.
The Saints, however, gave competitors and the course at Williamsburg National all they could handle. Garnett Hall '24 shot a 4-under 68, only one stroke off of medalist honors. Charles Lange '26 also earned an all-state nod, carding a 1-over 73.
Coleman Bowles '24 (77) and August Lange '24 (78) also scored for StC as the Saints had a strong finish to the season, also placing second at the Prep League meet a week earlier.
