In the annual Buddy Ball Game, the varsity baseball team squared off with Benedictine under the lights at The Diamond. They ended up falling 4-0, dropping their record to 2-5.
Henry Knighton '25 got the ball, and he pitched very well. Across six innings, he struck out nine and allowed four runs. Those four runs were not representative of how well he controlled the game, as he ran into some back luck contributing to some of the Cadets' scoring. It was a quiet night for the Saints' bats, as a first-inning single from Wally Jones '25, who also threw a scoreless seventh inning, and senior Jack Demm's seventh-inning single were the only hits of the night.
The Saints' next action is on Tuesday, April 9, when they travel to Collegiate at 4:30 pm.
