22nd straight title for wrestling
Faglioni '25, Owen earn honors.
The varsity wrestling team won its 22nd straight Prep League title Saturday, February 3 at Woodberry Forest.
The Saints boasted 11 champs in the 14 weight classes, led by the tourney's most outstanding wrestler, Mitchell Faglioni '25 at 157 pounds. Witt Wood '27 (106), Noah Rankin '26 (113), Gilbert Cooper '25 (120), Drew Roggie '26 (126), Caleb Haney '25 (132), Griffin Van der Waag '26 (138), Walker Turley '26 (144), Tyler Hood '25 (150), Drew Pendlebury '26 (190) and Bryson Smith '24 (215) also brought home titles for StC.
Liam Johnson '26 (165) and EJ Seward '24 (175) finished as runner-up in their weight classes. The Saints did not enter a heavyweight. Coach Tommy Owen was named Prep League coach of the year.
