Saints Look Strong Heading into the Valentine Classic

Thursday, February 6, futsal played four matches.
StC Red took down Benedictine 1st and 2nd teams, and sits at 10-0-2; StC Gray shut out Collegiate’s 2nd team, but lost to Trinity’s 1st team, and finishes at 8-3-1.
Beckett Scallon ‘28 scored two goals for the StC Gray against Collegiate, and Adam Bishara ‘28 got two saves in their 2-0 win. Cash Kisner ‘27 and Jack Rickards ‘26 scored in the Saints effort against Trinity, and Hayes Carithers ‘26 had four saves.
Jack Bleecher ‘25 had a hat trick against Benedictine’s 1st team for StC Red, and with the help of four saves from Sutton Olesen ‘26, the Saints forced the shutout. Saints scoring took off against Benedictine’s 2nd team; Evan Broughton ‘26 and Luke Ryan ‘25 each had a goal, and Lukas Gordinier ‘26 and Gardner Kaufman ‘25 both had a hat trick.
On Wednesday and Thursday, February 12 and 13, the Saints will participate in the season-ending Valentine Classic at Collegiate. On Wednesday, StC Red will play the winner of Collegiate B vs Blue Ridge C at 6:30 pm. StC Gray will play Blue Ridge B at 5 pm.
