Saints finish 23-5, 3rd most wins in school history.
The varsity basketball team fell in the VISAA quarterfinals 85-59 at Highland Wednesday, February 26.
The Saints, seeded seventh, topped Catholic 67-61 a day earlier to earn the quarterfinal bid, but the #2 Hawks and their outside shooting were too much.
Darius Gray '26 led StC with 22 points. Elijah Brandon '26 put in 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Stuart Cosby had 10 points, 8 in the first quarter in which the Saints led 17-16 going into the second period.
StC ballooned its lead to 25-18 before a barrage of Highland 3-pointers had the Hawks leading 40-32 at halftime, and Highland didn't look back.
The Saints registered 23 wins this season, third most in school history behind the 2015-16 team (24) and the 2023-24 group (25). The past two years, the group has 48 wins, most in school history.
