Baseball fourth at Invite
Errors cost StC at Deep Run tourney.
The varsity baseball team placed fourth at the Deep Run Spring Break Invitational Tuesday, April 1.
The Saints fell to eventual champion Mechanicsville 11-4 Monday, March 31, and lost to Deep Run 8-1 in the third-place game.
Versus Mechanicsville, Willie Hurt '25 and Jaerron Johnson '27 both had two hits and an RBI, but the Saints committed six errors.
Against Deep Run, StC had five errors. All of the Wildcats' runs were unearned.
The Saints will return to action Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at RF&P Park for the Buddy Ball Game versus Benedictine.
