Saints cruise to 11-1 victory over STAB

On Wednesday, March 26, the JV Baseball team welcomed STAB to play on Jacobs Field, winning 11-1.

The Saints offense did not hold back at all, scoring 2 runs in the first, 1 run in the second, 1 run in the third, 5 runs in the fourth, and 2 additional runs in the fifth to mercy rule STAB.

The Saints had Matthew Horn '27 and James Carney '28 pitching Wednesday, where both did outstanding only letting 1 run in total.

Notable players from the Saints include Carney, who had a RBI triple that was smoked behind the outfielder's head, and Aiden Curtin's '28 outstanding performance behind the plate blocking almost everything he could.

STAB had a lot of simple mistakes that lead to runners getting extra bases and even scoring, which the Saints exploited quick.

On Friday, March 28, the Saints will bring the momentum to play Norfolk Academy at home at 4:30 pm.
