FULL RESULTS

Saturday, February 1, the Saints went over to St. Catherine's and dominated the Prep League meet, winning for the 8th year in a row.

The Saints as a team had an elite performance, but Edward Johnson '26, Ben Franks '27, Ryan Smith '26, Alex Gertner '25, and Ben Butterfield '25 had their fingerprints all over the victory, scoring in various events for Prep League coach of the year Bucka Watson.  

• Smith, Johnson, Gertner, and Butterfield were the VPL Champions in the 200 Medley Relay, setting a meet record in 1:34.23.
• Gertner was the VPL Champion in the 200 Freestyle. Franks placed second.
• Smith was the VPL Champion in the 100 Butterfly
• Franks was the VPL Champion in the 500 Freestyle. James Edwards '27 was second, and Ben's brother Will Franks '28 was third.
• Johnson was the VPL Champion in the 100 Breaststroke. He was also second in the 200 IM.
• Gertner, Smith, Franks, and Johnson were the VPL Champions in the 400 Free Relay, not far off their meet record from 2024.

The team overall had 30 personal-best times and 60 state cuts achieved, showing good growth for the team.

The Saints will now look ahead to their next meet Thursday, February 6 at St. Catherine's pool for the Last Chance Meet, prepping for the season-ending VISAA meet Feb. 14-15.
