On Saturday, October 19, the Saints varsity football team traveled to Trinity Episcopal to take on the Titans. The game turned into yet another defensive battle, which the Saints ultimately lost 14-10.

The Saints (4-4) once again had trouble scoring on offense against Trinity (4-2), although they did show an improvement since their game against Woodberry. The team as a whole ended with 145 rushing yards, to which RB Michael Farley Jr. ‘26 contributed the most with 69 of those yards and the Saints only touchdown of the night. 

Despite the loss, Jayden Brown ‘25 put up 105 receiving yards on just 2 receptions, including 53- and 52-yard receptions. Outside two big gains for Brown, however, the Saints only managed 4 other completions for 26 yards and struggled with turnovers.
 

Similarly to their last game, the defense, which has not given up more than 14 points in any game since their first against Camden, made big plays and kept the Saints in the game. DBs Deacon Begley ‘25 and Collin Johnson ‘26 each had a forced fumble, which were recovered by LB Walker Turley ‘26 and DL Darius Gray ‘26. LB Addison Gosline ‘25 had the team’s only sack, although the Saints together put up 6 TFLs and 5 breakups. 

Their next matchup will be another away game at North Cross (6-1) on Saturday, October 26 at 1 pm. The two team’s common matchups have been against Episcopal (1-5) and Trinity, with both defeating Episcopal and taking a loss to the Titans.
