Saints Mountain Biking ventured out to Mt. Solon, VA to race the Stokesville Campground on Saturday. The 3.5-mile trail features 450 feet of elevation with multiple banking downhills. The multiple thunderstorms before the race also added an extra twist to the competition.
William Sutten ‘26 fought through adversity, finishing in the top 20 despite losing his bike chain twice. He now sits 19th in the Elite Varsity category. Ford White ‘26 passed over 50 riders to finish 26th. White will start 38th overall in the next race. Charles Herlihy ‘25 and Mitchell Gallagher ‘27 maintain their positions for the Woodberry race.
The Saint's next race is Saturday, October 12 at Woodberry Forest. The sophomore wave starts at 1:45, the Jr/Sr girls at 3:00, and the Jr/Sr + Elite Varsity boys at 4:20. Varsity Football is at Woodberry at 1:00 pm, so show out to support your fellow Saints.
