Sean Menges '16 returned two punts for scores back-to-back to lead the varsity football team over Thomas Jefferson 37-7 Friday afternoon.

Menges took a punt 47 yards for a TD with 1:56 left in the first, then took the next punt he saw 40 yards to paydirt early in the second period. It carried the Saints as the offense was stuck in mud.

Menges came out running strong in the third, setting up a 10-yard TD pass from Jeb Bemiss '16 to Ned Tazewell '16. TJ (0-3) responded with a long kick return for a score, but the Saints got a 25-yard catch-and-run from John Damgard '17 to go up 28-7.

Jack Hodgson '16 (71 rushing yards) had a 19-yard TD run, and then Will Thomas '17 tackled a Viking in the end zone for the final margin.

The Saints are now 2-0 and will visit St. Anne's-Belfield Friday, Sept. 18 at 7 pm. This was the first meeting between St. Christopher's and Thomas Jefferson since 1943.
