Missed opportunities against CVA Homeschool lead to Saints loss
by: Logan Coleman '26
After a 5-game winning streak, the Saints fall to CVA Homeschool at home on Tuesday, April 22. As Gardner Kaufman '25 put it on the mic, the Saints made many good opportunities to bring in runs but were unable to capitalize.
CVA Homeschool got off to an early start at the top of the 1st, getting 2 runs in. The visitors continued to extend their lead in the 4th, bringing in 2 more runs. The 2nd and 4th innings saw glimpses of an offensive breakthrough for the Saints, scoring a run in each inning and setting up men on base to tie the game. Unfortunately, CVA Homeschool's pitching came up when it mattered, in these innings, and also later on in the final innings. The Saints were scoreless in the 6th and 7th innings, with CVA Homeschool winning 6-3.
JV would look to rebound when they faced Douglas Freeman on Thursday, April 24.
