The wrestling team won its fourth state VISAA championship in a row, outpacing its nearest competitor by over 100 points Saturday, February 15.
"This weekend was a tremendous success for our team at the state tournament," head coach Tommy Owen said. "The boys battled hard, coming within half a point of tying the all-time scoring record. We exceeded expectations, finishing +6 in placement to seeds, a testament to how well the team competed.
"There were hard-fought wins and tough losses, but overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with our effort."
The Saints boasted six state champs in Caleb Haney '25 (120 pounds), Noah Rankin '26 (126), Drew Roggie '26 (132), Walker Turley '26 (144), Tyler Hood '25 (150), and Lance Clelland '27 (Heavyweight).
Hood became the third Saint to win four state titles.
"A huge congratulations to Tyler, for joining rare and elite company," Owen said.
Roggie (lightweight) and Turley (middleweight) earned Most Outstanding Wrestler honors in their respective divisions. This was the third state title for Roggie. Rankin, Turley and Haney notched their second individual crown.
