Saints fly at Woodberry

by Hayden Regan '25
This past Saturday, Saints Mountain Biking traveled up to Woodberry to compete in a fast 3-mile course. The first half mile was very tight and twisty with lots of roots and little margin for error, the next 1.5 miles were slightly wider traveling through fields with a gradual increase in elevation. The end of the race returns to another mile of tight twisty track and finally opens back up for the finish line.

In two laps, Mitchell Gallager ‘27 moved up two spots overall in the Sophomore wave finishing 43rd. In his season debut, Tyler Aronholt ‘27 passed over 20 riders in the 62-person group and finished 40th.

Junior Ford White finished 26th gaining 12 positions from his start. Captain Charles Herlihy ‘25 also moved up 6 spots in the Junior/Senior wave finishing 36th.

William Sutten finished 20th in the Elite Varsity division, which moved him to 17th overall for the next race.

The Saint's final race will be on Saturday, November 26th at Monticello High School in Charlottesville.
