On Wednesday, October 9, StC's Bulldog Football team fell to the Middies Club Team in a close 6-0 game. 

The Saints defense was the star of the show with an impressive interception in the 4th quarter and a strong tackling game that led to multiple stops on 4th down against the Middies, limiting them to the single touchdown in the third quarter.

The Saints offense had multiple opportunities throughout the game, including a barely incomplete pass in the end zone that would have tied up the game, but they were unfortunately unable to convert on these opportunities due to the Middies' similarly strong defense.

Coach Chewning said in a statement that it was the “closest Bulldog StC vs. Middies game that (he) could remember," and that he was excited for the rematch against St. Anne’s-Belfield this coming Wednesday, October 16 at 4:00. This brings the Bulldog’s record to 3-1 for the season, and with their prior 42-6 win against STAB on 9/25.
