Trent Hendrick '22 and Harrison Wood '22 are both making an impact with their respective college football programs.
Hendrick racked up a career-high 11 tackles in James Madison's 31-23 win over South Alabama Sept. 30. He has 24 tackles on the season and is a starter on special teams for the Dukes, ranked 25th in the nation. Hendrick has filled in as a starter at linebacker several times in his career already, putting up 7 tackles as a freshman versus Louisville.
ESPN Harrisonburg caught up with Hendrick for an interview recently. You can listen HERE. The Dukes host Old Dominion Oct. 28 at 8 pm looking to move to 8-0.
Wood is a first-year player at Hampden-Sydney and wasted no time making his presence felt. He has earned a starting spot at linebacker, and registered a career-high eight tackles in a close, 39-38 loss to Bridgewater.
Wood is 5th on the team in tackles with 32 for the 4-3 Tigers. HSC visits Guilford October 28 at 1 pm.
