Mathematics

The primary goal of the mathematics curriculum is to move students from the concrete to the abstract, developing the computational and thinking skills necessary to be successful in a rigorous Upper School program. The boys are immersed in topics including ratios and percents, probability, integers, geometry, statistical analysis, and graphing as well as all of the topics and algorithms found in a traditional Algebra I class. While the school’s 1:1 technology program allows for individualized, differentiated instruction, there remains a strong emphasis on the traditional approach to exploring mathematics.
