The accolades continue to roll in for Victor Olesen '26, and rightfully so.
The nation's top pole-vault performer was named Gatorade state player of the year, as well as All-Metro Track & Field Athlete of the Year recently.
Olesen is the top-ranked high-school vaulter in the United States, reaching a height of 17-9.5 inches this past June. He owns the highest high-school vault ever in the state of Virginia.
Jayden Brown '25 and Maddox White '26 also earned All-Metro honors in two events each. Brown in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, and White in the 100 and 200 dash. White holds the school record in the 100.
